What a great morning of fishing out of Waukegan! The lake weather was calm and overcast with reports of thunder storms later in the day. We motored to 50 feet of water and set lines. Our first fish was a 12 lb. Chinook “King” Salmon. Our 5 hour trip continued with great action and several misses. A great time was had by all
Our annual Quad City Conservation Alliance parent/kids Lake Michigan salmon/trout fishing outing was a huge success! Thirty kids were drawn during the Winter QCCA convention. The lucky kids/parents are transported to the Waukegan Harbor for a half day fishing trip. Five charter captains were waiting to provide A new and exciting fishing experience.
Calm lake conditions were not ideal but our group was able to boat some nice salmon and rainbow trout today.
